Alc%: 13.0%
Oak Treatment: 16 months French Barriques.
Mid garnet in colour the
2002 Kara Kara Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon shows
restraint and elegance amidst the abundance of bright
red berry fruits on the nose, supported ably by its
savoury minerallity. The medium to full-bodied palate
offers a more structured experience with plenty of chewy
tannins and vibrant acidity to support the lush red
fruits. While drinking well now, this wine will continue
to improve for another year, and hold until 2010.
Food
Suggestions:
Garlic and herd studded leg of lamb. Rib of Veal,
Venison with juniper berry sauce, Hard Cheese.

The deep magenta 2002 Kara
Kara Pyrenees Shiraz is full to the brim with ripe red
and dark berry fruits, supported by dark roasted meats
and hints of spice. Not shy on the palate either, the
fruitcake flavours deliver plenty of flavour, but there
is a lightness that is enhanced by a gentle flavour of
vanilla. This wine will continue to grow in stature over
the next three years and be good until 2012.
Food Suggestions:
Flamed grilled rump steak, Braised ox cheek, Marinated
Venison
Beef Fillets, Rich Game, Potent Cheeses.
